Update from the Bible Society in Ukraine

Bible Society teams in Ukraine and across Europe are providing Bibles and other Scripture-based resources to people who desperately need them, alongside humanitarian aid and pastoral care. Anatoliy, based in Ukraine, says: ‘We are sharing living bread and physical bread.’

Your help is needed today. Please pray, give, and share their stories. Partner with us in bringing the light of Jesus into places darkened by war.

The deputy leader of Bible mission in Ukraine, Anatoliy Raychynets, looks back on a month of fighting and explains how he and his team struggle on, even in the awful darkness. He wants you to keep praying for Ukraine because he’s seeing your prayers answered.

The main Bible Society contact in Ukraine, Rostyslav, describes the difference your prayers and donations are making. He asks you to continue to pray for everyone involved – Ukrainians, Russians, politicians, soldiers.

Prayers for Ukraine

A Prayer for Ukraine by the Bible Society

God of mercy, God of peace, we join with Christians around the world
to pray for the people of Ukraine.
For those under attack and fearing for their lives, for safety.
For the refugees leaving the country, that they will find a welcome.
For those fighting for their country, that they will not give in to hatred.
For leaders seeking what’s best for their nation,
that you will give them wisdom.
We pray for the leaders of Russia, that you will open their
and show them the way of peace.
And we pray for all those who in dark places
continue to shine the light of Christ, and who bear witness
to his enduring love for all people everywhere. Amen.

In sorrow and pain, we hold before you the situation unfolding in Ukraine.

For those caught in the conflict;

For those reliving the trauma of their past;

Trusting in your goodness and love, Lord God, we cry out to you.
