St Mary’s is holding a special service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving for the life of Queen Elizabeth II this Sunday at 4pm.

 St Mary’s will be screening the Queen’s Funeral on our big screen in church for those who would like to watch the funeral in church and/or rather not be on their own.

Harvest Sunday 2nd October

St Paul’s Pantry writes
Harvest is fast approaching, Since 2019 the number of people accessing St Paul’s Pantry has increased by 96%. Alongside this increase in demand, we have a decline in donations which reflects the increasing cost of living. We want to encourage everyone that ‘every item makes a difference’. We urgently need donations especially as we anticipate demand over Autumn and Winter. Long life items are always in demand – please see the leaflet in church and on our Blog with the list of shortages – thank you!

Ladies Afternoon Group

We will meet on Thursday 22nd September in the Howe Room at St Mary`s Church Hall. If anyone has any personal memories of the Queen it might be lovely to share these during the meeting. Looking forward to seeing you all. Frances and Ann


New opportunities for Bible Study & Prayer

Exploring the Bible further.
We are planning to restart the Tuesday morning study group with an informal cuppa and chat on 20th. September at 10.15. at 56 Bowness Road. Welcome back to those who came to groups before covid and a warm welcome to any others who would like to join us. Meeting for Prayer.
This will be held on the first Thursday evening of each month at 7pm. The first meeting will be on the 6th October. Open to anyone who would like to meet for prayer for our church and the world. All welcome, 56 Bowness Road.  Thank you, Jenny Varty 01270 567618.
