St Mary’s and St Luke’s News for Sunday 25 September 2022

The Weekly Sheet has this week’s Readings and News on it

Thanks to all those who helped in opening St Mary’s for prayer, reflection and the signing of the Book of Condolence for Her Majesty. A lot of people came in and were grateful for the church being open for them to do so.

We are celebrating Harvest next Sunday 2nd October – please join us!

We will be celebrating Harvest at both of our churches next week and we will be joining together for a Harvest Bring and Share Lunch at 12 noon in the Church Hall.
If you can help to set up the Church Hall for our Harvest Lunch, please come to the Church Hall at 6pm on Saturday 1 October.
As we give thanks to God for his goodness to us we remember those who are struggling at this time.
Practically, we will be supporting our local Food Banks with the gifts that people bring to Harvest this year. We are asking for non-perishable Harvest gifts this year. If you are shopping this week please put a few of the items below into your trolley and bring them to our Harvest Service next week to support the great work the local Food Banks do in our area.
In prayer, we will remember all people who at this time the Harvest has failed, where famine is a reality or will be soon. We will remember in prayer all refugees, those who have been displaced from the their homes and countries, and for those who continue to live in areas of war, conflict and persecution.
