Lent Groups
Lent Groups begin this Tuesday 11 March 7:30pm at The Rectory (104 Church Lane, CW2 8ER) & Friday 14 March 10am at St Luke’s (Coppice Road, Willaston), both will run for 5 weeks. The Tuesday & Friday sessions are the same, so you need only attend one. All material supplied, please bring a Bible.
If you are planning to attend this week you may want to mark these readings in your Bible beforehand: Matthew 3:1-17, Hebrews 10:22-24, Philippians 4:4-9, Isaiah 40:25-31.
Lent Soup Lunches
Thank you to Chris & Mike for the wonderful Lent Lunch last week which raised £142.00 for church funds. The next Lent Lunch this Wednesday 2 April in the Church Hall at 11.30am, a variety of soups at £4.50pp.
Ladies Afternoon Group
We had very informative talk on the History of Crewe Hall courtesy of Graham Dodd.
Please join us at our Lent Service at St Mary’s on Thursday 27 March at 2pm, followed by refreshments. There will be a Raffle to help raise funds for `Her Place` (Motherwell Charity) Thank you, Frances.

Christian Aid Sponsored Swim
Christian Aid Sponsored Swim is on 15 March at 5pm at the Crewe Lifestyle Centre. Sarah Turnbull has a sponsor form if you wish to support our young people.
Choir Vestry Repairs
The Dry Rot repairs in the Choir Vestry will cost in the region of £19,000 to repair. However, add to this roof repairs, plastering, painting and professional fees, the whole project could be in the region of £30,000. If you would like to pledge a donation towards this project please let Revd Mike know.
Electoral Roll 2025
A new Church Electoral Roll is being prepared, every person who wishes to have his or her name entered on the new Roll, whether it is entered on the present Roll or not, is requested to apply for enrolment not later than 16 March 2025. Our Electoral Roll Officers are Sue & Bob Squirrell, please ask them for assistance if needed. New Electoral Roll forms are available in church and via our website at bit.ly/apcminfo.
Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) 2025
Our APCM is on Sunday 6 April in St Mary’s at 12 noon followed by a Bring ‘n’ Share lunch.
We will be appointing 2 Wardens and electing 5 PCC Members. If you are interested in standing all the forms needed are available at both churches. Please speak to Revd Mike if you’d like further information.
Her-Place Period Poverty Collection Point
You may have seen this in the porch of the Church Hall, in it you can donate period products as well as other young girl’s and women’s hygiene products. Thanks in advance.
Are you interested in Scouting History?
If so, Wistaston Scout Centre, Elm Close, Wistaston, Crewe CW2 8RU, are holding a ‘Journey of Scouting History from 1907 to more recent times’, all as presented by the South West Cheshire District history team on the weekend of 15/16 March. Doors open at 10am each day, closing at 1700 on Saturday and 1600 on Sunday. Admission free, refreshments available, donations welcome.
