Church Clock update
Just an update on the church clock: The motor is still being repaired and updated and will hopefully be back soon from the Cumbria Clock Company Ltd. We’d just like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have donated to this heritage project. Keeping a Grade 2 listed building in good condition, and preserving it for future generations, is a costly business and the majority of this is through regular or one off giving. We are also grateful for grants we receive and we are especially grateful to the Wistaston Community Council (Wistaston Community News and Events) for their generous donation to clock repair. If you would like to give you can do so here: https://bit.ly/churchclock. Thanks everyone!
Bible Reading or Leading the Intercessions at St Mary’s
For those who Read at St Mary’s, if it’s easier for you, please use the Lectern at the Chancel Steps. If climbing the steps to the Main Lectern has stopped you from putting your name on the Reading Rota, then using the Chancel Lectern may help you to join the rota.
If you would like to add your name to the Rota, you can do it in church or email Revd Mike (you can view the Rota and see what slots are available here). However, if you are not sure about whether you should do it, or have concerns about doing it, please speak to Rachael or Mike who are happy to help.
Wool Appeal
After the generosity shown last time, the knitters for Care Homes are asking for any spare wool you may have, this can be passed to the Office. Thank you!
