Picnic at the Rectory

However, on Sunday 11 August, there is a Picnic at the Rectory (104 Church Lane) straight after St Mary’s Service. Sarah & Mike invite you to join them, please bring your own food, drinks, picnic glasses, a camping chair or rug, all the things you would normally take on a picnic.

Stop the Clocks!
After many decades of keeping people in Wistaston on time the motor that drives both clock faces needs to be renovated and updated and the Cumbria Clock Company Ltd have taken it away to do this. So for the next month or so the clock will remain still.
For over a century the Tower Clock has been a fixture of the village of Wistaston and we are pleased to be able to keep it displaying the time for many years to come. If you would like to make a donation towards the renovations and upgrade, which is costing £4000.00, then you can support the appeal here: https://bit.ly/churchclock

Bible Reading or Leading the Intercessions at St Mary’s
For those who Read at St Mary’s, if it’s easier for you, please use the Lectern at the Chancel Steps. If climbing the steps to the Main Lectern has stopped you from putting your name on the Reading Rota, then using the Chancel Lectern may help you to join the rota.
If you would like to add your name to the Rota, you can do it in church or email Revd Mike (you can view the Rota and see what slots are available here). However, if you are not sure about whether you should do it, or have concerns about doing it, please speak to Rachael or Mike who are happy to help.
