After church refreshments at St Mary’s during August
After church refreshments at St Mary’s during August: those who make and serve the refreshments in the church hall are taking a break. For the four Sundays of August there won’t be refreshments in the church hall after the service.
However, there will be a Picnic at the Rectory (104 Church Lane) on Sunday 11 August straight after St Mary’s Service. Sarah & Mike invite you to join them for a picnic. Please bring your own food, drinks, picnic glasses, a camping chair or rug, all the things you would normally take on a picnic.

Prayer Workshop
Rachael and Revd Mike are running a Prayer Workshop at St Luke’s with a view to help and encourage people to lead prayers within our services. It is on Saturday 7 September, 10am to 12 noon. If you are interested in joining them, please let one of them know.
Bible Reading or leading the Intercessions at St Mary’s
For those who Read at St Mary’s, if it’s easier for you, please use the Lectern at the Chancel Steps. If climbing the steps to the Main Lectern has stopped you from putting your name on the Reading Rota, then using the Chancel Lectern may help you to join the rota.
If you would like to add your name to the Rota, you can do it in church or email Revd Mike (you can view the Rota and see what slots are available here). However, if you are not sure about whether you should do it, or have concerns about doing it, please speak to Rachael or Mike who are happy to help.
