An Evening with the Archbishop of York at St Mary’s Nantwich

Stephen Cottrell is a gifted and lively communicator, plain-speaking and down to earth. His warm and engaging manner makes him at home in an environment where he can interact with an audience. He has been invited to speak at St Mary’s Nantwich on Saturday 22 June at 7:15pm (doors open at 6:30pm). As well as a talk from Archbishop Stephen there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions about life and faith, church or nation, everyday or global issues.

This is a free event and tickets are available here or via Nantwich’s Parish Office: 01270 625268 office@stmarysnantwich.org.uk

Visit to St Mary’s by Bishop Sam

On the Sunday 2 June Bishop Sam, Bishop of Stockport, will be joining us at St Mary’s at 10:40am. During his visit he will be receiving Rachael Rivers into the Communion of the Church of England. This is required before she is licensed as a Reader at Chester Cathedral on Saturday 12 October. Do come and meet Bishop Sam and support Rachael.

Please note: There will not be a service at St Luke’s on 2 June to encourage us all to join together in worship that day at St Mary’s.

Rose Queen News!

We are pleased to announce that our Rose Queen (RQ) for 2024/25 will be Lucia Kemp and her attendant will be Cerys McKeown. Our RQ Sunday is on 9 June at St Mary’s when our current RQ, Sophie, will let us know about her year as RQ and Lucia will make her RQ Promise ahead of the Wistaston Village Fete on Saturday 15 June when she will be crowned. For her stall at the Fete Lucia is asking for unwanted teddies, they can be dropped into church or the office. She will be raising money for Cancer Research.
