The Weekly Sheet has the weekly Readings and News on it

Chris is Sworn in as Warden by Archdeacon Jane

Congratulations to Chris Horne who was sworn in as our Warden at the Archdeacon’s Visitation last Wednesday. As our only warden this year she will need our help and support to carry out the Office of Warden.

An Evening with the Archbishop of York at St Mary’s Nantwich

Stephen Cottrell is a gifted and lively communicator, plain-speaking and down to earth. His warm and engaging manner makes him at home in an environment where he can interact with an audience. He has been invited to speak at St Mary’s Nantwich on Saturday 22 June at 7:15pm (doors open at 6:30pm). As well as a talk from Archbishop Stephen there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions about life and faith, church or nation, everyday or global issues.

This is a free event and tickets are available here or via Nantwich’s Parish Office: 01270 625268 office@stmarysnantwich.org.uk

Ladies Afternoon Group News: Our next meeting is on Thursday 27th June when the Wells Green Singers will be entertaining us. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
A reminder for those who are going on the trip in July to the National Memorial Arboretum, that the price for the coach is £15 to be paid asap. We still have spaces for our trip on July 11th. MEN do not be put off, this trip is open to all!! Please see Pam or myself if you would like to join us. Many thanks Frances

An opportunity to get involved at St Mary’s

We would like a couple of people who would take on the role of setting up the Altar for Holy Communion and change the frontal etc when needs be. Also, we would like a few of people to cover the 12:30pm Baptisms by welcoming people and controlling the slides on the screen during the service. Full training would be given for both, if you would like to know about either of these roles please speak in the first instance to Revd Mike.

Christian Aid Update from Sarah Turnbull

After 15 years of being the Christian Aid rep for our church the time is right for me to hand it to someone else. Is this something you’d be willing to do? If so, please see me for more info about what is involved. It would be great if we could keep the fundraising going through our churches. Many thanks, Sarah.

Save the Date!!

Saturday 13 July 10am-12 noon. Shed clearing and cleaning at St Luke’s Church. We need some help to empty the shed, clean it, sort what is to be kept or recycled, and then put the items we’re keeping back in.

Would you like to read a Bible Reading or Lead the Intercessions at St Mary’s?

St Mary’s July & August Rotas for Reading and Prayers are in the porch (in a Green Folder along with the other Rotas) and online, to view it online click here. Thanks to all those who regularly read the bible readings & lead the intercessions at both our churches.
For those who Read at St Mary’s, if it’s easier for you, please use the Lectern at the Chancel Steps. If climbing the steps to the Main Lectern has stopped you from putting your name on the Reading Rota, then using the Chancel Lectern may help you to join the rota.
If you would like to add your name to the Rota, you can do it in church or email Revd Mike (you can view the Rota and see what slots are available here). However, if you are not sure about whether you should do it, or have concerns about doing it, please speak to Rachael or Mike who are happy to help.

St Mary’s Cleaning Rota

The St Mary’s Cleaning Rota needs some new volunteers and people to sign up. The Rota is in the porch of the church (in the Green Rotas Folder) – please consider signing up to keep St Mary’s looking fantastic. See a Warden for more details.
