Lent 2023

We will have Communion Services at St Mary’s at 10am & 7pm.

Revd Mike will be running a Lent Course and you would be most welcome to join him. Tuesdays at The Rectory at 7:30pm (starting 28 February) or Fridays at St Luke’s at 10am (starting 3 March). Dust & Glory personal Lent reflection books for adult (£2) & families (£1.50) are now available at St Mary’s.


Men’s Group Social

Men’s Group – 7.30pm Friday 17 February 2023 Please join us at The Vine [Hospital Street, Nantwich] for beer [non-alcoholic options might be available] and afterwards we will go somewhere for food. Open to all men over the age of 18. Feel free to bring male family and friends. No need to RSVP – see you there! Howard


Christian Aid Sponsored Swim

Christian Aid Sponsored Swim: Saturday 4 March at the Lifestyle Centre: Our young people will be taking part once again this year. Sarah Turnbull has a sponsor form for those who would like to support this great cause.


Confirmation Service 2023

Bishop Julie will be conducting a service of Confirmation on Sunday 9 July, 10:40am, at St Mary’s. Thanks to those who’ve already given me their names. If you are Baptised and not yet Confirmed, and would like to be, please let Revd Mike know. Preparation will begin after Easter.

St Mary’s Cleaning

Many thanks from all of us to those who currently clean St Mary’s each week (and St Luke’s!). At St Mary’s we are looking to expand the rota and are looking for volunteers – please add your name to the rota in the porch or email Mike on revd.mike@stmaryswistaston.org.uk

Cafe Wells Green – Refreshments every Friday 10.30am-1.30pm with our Methodist friends incl soup & roll (donations) along with a warm welcome.

Bible Study & Prayer

The Bible Study meetings will be Tuesday 21 February at 10.15am & the Prayer Group meeting is Thursday March 2 at 7pm, meeting at 56 Bowness Road, thanks Jenny Varty 01270 567618.


Foodbank News

Thank your continuing generous support for St Paul’s Foodbank. Shortages are: Jam, UHT milk, cereal, rice, long life puddings/cakes. Tinned items: corned beef; pork; fruit; meat meals (chilli con carne, stew); rice pudding; vegetables. Please see the leaflet with the donation/drop off points .
