Remembrance Weekend

This weekend, to mark Remembrance, we have the following Acts of Remembrance.
Saturday 11 November: St Mary’s will be open from 10:50am with a short Act of Remembrance and prayers at 11am.
Sunday 12 November: we will have an Act of Remembrance within our Sunday services at both churches, the services begin as follows: 9am at St Luke’s Willaston & 10:40am at St Mary’s Wistaston


Annual Shoebox Appeal

Thanks for the great response so far, just a reminder that the deadline for drop-off at St Mary’s is this Sunday 12 November or complete one online – see below.
Once again this year we are partnering with Teams4U, based in Wrexham, to donate Christmas Shoeboxes to Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Bosnia and Romania.

Rose Queen Cake Sale

Our Rose Queen, Sophie, is holding a cake sale in the church hall following St Mary’s church service on Sunday 19th November for donations towards her charity Motherwell Cheshire, thank you in advance.

The Bible Study & Prayer Group

Tuesday Bible study group will meet on 21 November & Prayer Group is on the first Thursday of each Month. Jenny V. 


Advent Group

Once again this year there will be an Advent Study Group at the Rectory. This is a time to get together in the lead up to Christmas and think a bit more on the theme of Advent and spiritually prepare for Christmas. The group will run for three Tuesdays, 5, 12 & 19 December, 7:30pm-9pm. Come to one or come to all. Further information on the material in the coming weeks. Thanks, Revd Mike.

Did someone mention Christmas?

The supermarket Christmas adverts are on the TV, so here are our Christmas Services for this year at both of our churches, make sure you put the dates on your calendars. You can click on the image to see a bigger version.


Sidespeople Needed

Help is needed on 4th Sundays at St Mary’s. We need a couple of Sidespeople to cover the 4th Sundays. If this is something you’d be interested in doing, please chat with either of our Wardens, Sue or Chris.


Pickles, Chutneys, Jams and Christmas puddings

St Mary’s Christmas Fair- Sunday 10 December in the Church Hall after Service. Chris & Mike will again be providing their wonderful home produce of Pickles, Chutneys, Jams, Christmas Puddings and also the Hyacinths Bowls at £6. 


The Church Hall will be closed from Monday 13 November for 6 days (as long as all the work goes well), whilst the kitchen undergoes a refurb. The Office will remain open as normal.


Foodbank Reverse Advent Calendar

St Paul’s Foodbank Reverse Advent Calendar. The idea is simply is to ask families, individuals, households and community groups to collect an item of long-life food per day from 1 to 24 November.
