Defibrillator for St Mary’s Church

Wow, what an amazing response! I have had two people, who wish remain anonymous, each giving the money to buy a defib! This means we’ve been able to order a defib and have money in the accounts to service the three defibs we now manage. Thanks also to the other people who have pledged another £900! I’ll be chatting to these people individually to see if they still want to donate into the defib fund. Thanks everyone, Revd Mike.

Thank You for Giving

The PCC are grateful to all those who give regularly to our churches and enable us to do what we do. As you are aware utilities and other regular bills have increased over the past few years affecting our home and church finances. If you are in a position to review your regular giving to help cover these costs at church, then we would be grateful if you gave it some consideration. If you are a UK Taxpayer, then please remember to Gift Aid your giving as this adds 25% to your donation. Ways to give are: Standing Order through your bank, Weekly Giving Envelopes, Cash/Cheque on the plate (please remember to use a white Gift Aid envelope if applicable) or the Card Machine in the porch at St Mary’s. Also, please consider a Legacy Gift in your Will if you can.
You can find out more about Giving to our churches on our website here: https://www.stmaryswistaston.org.uk/giving.html

Christian Aid Week is 12–18 May

Sarah and I will be in touch with our regular collectors over the next couple of weeks to check if they can help this year, if you’d like to know more and how you can help, please speak to Sarah or Mike Turnbull.
